The Summer So Far

Ally and Jessica.
Ally decided to buy a "Just Like Me" American Girl doll with her prize money.
Jensenisms:
We were sitting on the couch and he looked at me and said very seriously, "Mom, you seem like a nice person."  Well, I hope so!  : )
Grandpa and Jensen were on a walk and Jensen asked Grandpa for a piggie back ride.  Grandpa said he was tired and asked Jensen to give him one.  "You're too big Grandpa", Jensen laughed "but I can be your shade."
He always knows how to make us smile!
Holden and Logan.  The boys like to play with Holden now.  Except when he ruins their stuff!  We love our little Bubsy!  He might leave a trail of destruction behind him, but at least he does it with a smile on his face.  It makes it harder to get mad.
Ally is fighting the summer boredom by making hair clips to sell.  She has gotten pretty creative and made some butterflies out of ribbon, cute button clips, bows and flowers.  I will have to post some pictures of her products later.

Ally Takes State!

Ally entered the Farm Bureau essay contest at school.  She wrote an essay entitled "The Bread and Butter Report".  On the last day of school she found out that she took FIRST PLACE for the fourth grade at her school, the county and the STATE!  She came home with $165.00 in prize money.  What an exciting day for her and our family!

May is a Busy Month

May seems to be like December-busy and expensive!  Logan and Ally both had piano recitals.  Logan played "Ode to Joy" and Ally played "Holding Hands Around the World", "Give Said the Little Stream", and "Lane's Theme".  Josh said he would pay her $20.00 if she learned "Lane's Theme", so she did!
Ally our ballerina!  "Twelve Dancing Princesses"

Jensen loves tee-ball!

My 76 year old Dad Umpiring Little League.

Jensen graduated from Preschool!  He was so excited!  He wants to be a palientologist when he grows up.

We've been so busy, some evenings are like this.  Jensen kicked off his boots and collapsed on the ground.  We thought he had gone up to his bed....

...but he only made it to the carpet and he was gone.  I hope when summer gets here we can slow down and enjoy it.  We need a break.  Well, at least I do!

I love being a Mom!

Mother's Day was really nice this year. The kids and Josh got me an ice cream machine. Ally and Logan each made me a "promise book" full of things they will do for me.  Ally even volunteer to watch Holden-not her favorite thing.  Logan handed his to me and informed me that he had already cleaned his room yesterday so I could forget that one-not likely!
Holden decided to stay in nursery THE WHOLE TIME!  Woo-hoo!  And the Relief Society lesson was so special.  We talked about prayer and tied being a mother into it.  Logan made a "Queen for a Day" crown in primary for me to wear.  And the ward gave us chocolate!  I love it-boo to flowers (I just kill them).
Josh made sure I didn't change any diapers, and my favorite moment was when Logan said I looked like a 16 year old girl!  I just love my family!  Being a Mom is the best thing ever!

Holden loves to throw things!

Umm...yeah.  It's a good thing he's still so innocent and cute. We're still not sure what he threw at it, but he sure did a good job! The good news (not) is that we have to replace the whole door, not just the glass. At least they are going to sell it to us for cost ($250.00) instead of retail.  They said they felt bad for us...

Logan is in Cub Scouts!

Logan earned his Bobcat!  He is way excited to be in Scouts.  I like to think it's because I'm his leader. :)
I wish he could pass a little of that enthusiasm on to me...

Josh's Garage Mahal

Well, it's pretty much done.  It is nice to have our house garage empty....

...but I still think it's ridiculous!  I guess I will never understand the bond between a man and his garage.
