Bubby's Birthday!

Holden turned two on October 17.  We took him shopping the day before and he fell in love with a trike, so that is what he got!
He was so excited when we took it out of the van!

It didn't take him long to figure out how to open his presents.  He kept saying "oooooh wow" each time he opened one.

His duck cake.  Nothing fancy, but he's only two and he likes ducks.  He even started saying the word "duck" today.  Everyone was trying to show him how to blow the candles out. Instead they got blown out by everyone else!

Now we're talking-let's have cake!

Our "baby" Holden.  What a cute little birthday boy!  He had so much fun playing with his new toys after his party.  We love having him in our family!

Jackson

I was tired of sitting at home, so I told Josh he needed to take at least one day off over fall break-and he did!  We didn't have a lot of time or money, so we drove to the cabin on Thursday night, then woke up Friday and drove up to Jackson.  We were hoping to go on the Alpine Slide, but it was closed!  We ended up shopping, eating yummy pizza and playing at the park instead.  Then we drove back to the cabin for the rest of the weekend.
The kids in front of the famous (?) antler arch.  Holden noticed that the other kids were holding sacks and he was a little ticked that he didn't have one.  The kids bought some neat geodes and we also made a stop at the candy store (yum!).
Here's a fun comparison.  This is Jensen on the same toy, three years apart!
And here's Jensen and Holden in the same swing.  It's so amazing how fast they grow!
We sent Holden down the slide by himself and I was going to snap a picture of his cute face, but this is how he came out!  He was laughing so I guess he enjoyed it!
This is the "clubhouse" that the kids worked on building at the cabin.  They were quite proud of themselves.  Lets just hope it's still standing when we get to the cabin next time!
It was so nice to get away for a few days!

She sure can color!

Ally won the "Be Fire Safe" coloring contest...again!  She won this one in second grade, too.  (And Logan won it in first grade.) She spent a lot of time working on it and should be proud. She won a tee shirt and a backpack.  Her entry will be displayed at the Brigham City Fire Station or Coldwell Banker Realty in Brigham for the next year.  She said the best part is having her picture in the newspaper, though.  Way to go, Ally!

Autumn Home Evening

We had our annual Naylor Family Autumn Home Evening a couple weeks ago.  The kids love it, mostly because of the scavenger hunt.  We had three teams this year.  Jensen was with Tiffany and Lorne (Tiffany's boyfriend).  Logan was with Dusty and Debbie (Tiffany's friend).  Ally was with Josh, Holden and I.
This is Ally with one of our strange/unusual objects.  Not sure what it was doing in the middle of a campsite, but it was good for 5 bonus points.
We also got 5 bonus points for this cute little bunny.  We tried really hard to catch it, but it was a quick little bugger!  Thank heavens for digital cameras so we got credit for our find!
Jensen and his vine.
Logan's attempt at the largest Elephant Ear.
Cute Daddy/Daughter moment.
I'm proud to say that my team won this year.  Probably due to our awesome bonus points.  We roasted hot dogs and had donuts after the scavenger hunt, along with our lesson.  The kids never get tired of finding fruits and vegetables growing in weird places.  We decided we're not really sure what the point of the lesson is, but it's tradition!

Family Pictures

We had our friend Kristen take some family pictures the other day.  I wasn't going to do them again this year because I LOVED last years pictures, but the kids had changed so much. We also happened to have a free weekend, good haircuts, and some coordinating outfits just laying around so I decided what the heck!
First of all, I just have to say that Ally is VERY photogenic!  I can't decided which picture I like of her more.

Holden was IMPOSSIBLE!  This was the only picture of him smiling that we got.  He wouldn't sit still, wouldn't look at the camera, basically acted like a toddler-imagine that!  I seriously don't know how people with toddlers get pictures with the toddler actually looking at the camera!
Here's handsome Logan.  You can't even tell he has two false front teeth.
Okay.  Jensen is just cute.  What else can I say.
This is the one I like best.
Josh likes this one.  Opinions?
This one is cute, too.  There was a train going right by us as we took this one.  You can tell Jensen and Holden weren't too sure about how close it was!
My funny (so they think) family.  Holden is giving Josh kisses. :)
It was quite the adventure, but it's always fun to catch these moments in time.  The kids are are growing up WAY too fast!

Trouble

Yes, he climbed up there all by himself.  You can tell he thinks he is pretty cool. This is just a small glimpse into my daily life of "Holden chasing".

Cake!

We had a joint birthday party for Josh and Ally on Sunday October third.  The McBrides, Crippens, Kotters and the Naylor Grandparents were able to come.  Ally finally got the birthday cake she was waiting for.  That's a lot of candles on one cake!
